Alina Garises is the Manager: Corporate Communications at TransNamib, bringing over 20 years of experience in corporate and crisis communications, with exposure to national and international markets across the mining, telecommunications, and logistics sectors. She has operated in complex and dynamic business environments, leading strategic communication functions, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and supporting organisations through periods of transformation while advancing brand positioning and organisational reputation.
Prior to joining TransNamib, she held senior communications roles at Dundee Precious Metals Tsumeb, a Canadian-owned mining company, and Sinomine Tsumeb Smelter, a Chinese-owned mining company. In these roles, she led the development and implementation of change communication strategies supporting acquisition transitions, major infrastructure projects, and critical stakeholder engagements.
She holds a Master of Arts in Leading Innovation and Change from York St John University (United Kingdom), an Honours Degree in Journalism and Communication Technology from the Namibia University of Science and Technology, and is a Chartered Public Relations Practitioner accredited by PRISA. She brings strategic insight, cross-sector knowledge, and facilitation expertise to the Infrastructure Dialogue.
