Precious Gowases

Precious Gowases is an accomplished Health, Safety and Environment professional with over 20 years of experience leading health, safety, environmental and risk management programmes across Namibia's mining and heavy industrial sectors. As Health and Safety Superintendent at Navachab Gold Mine, she leads the development of Safety management systems, critical risk management strategies and organizational safety culture initiatives. Precious has successfully led HSE management on several landmark infrastructure projects, achieving multiple million Lost Time Injury-free manhours while implementing internationally recognized management systems. She holds a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Environmental Health, an Honours Degree in Business Management, the NEBOSH International Oil and Gas Safety Certificate, and numerous professional certifications in occupational health, safety, environmental management and leadership. As certified ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor, she is passionate about developing resilient safety cultures, strengthening leadership, and driving operational excellence through effective HSE management.
