Charlotte Maenge Shipiki-Kali

She has 32 Years experience working for Namdeb, Debmarine Namibia, De Beers Group of Companies and Anglo American. She has worked in various roles: As a Metallurgical Manager, Divisional Metallurgist, Vessel Manager and Business Optimisation Manager. She is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Debmarine Namibia where she oversees a fleet of 5 Production vessels and 1 Sampling vessel. She has been part of the Global, Multidisciplinary & Diverse Mining Teams that have conducted Asset Reviews and Assessment of the Elimination of Fatalities across the Anglo-American operations in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Australia, Canada, Chile and Brazil. She served as the Deputy Chairperson on the Board of Directors for NamWater and the Diamond Board of Namibia (DIBONA Maenge has spent significant time on the mining coal face, and she is passionate about coaching and mentoring other professionals. She also believes that the full potential of digitalization still needs to be exploited to benefit the full mining value chain.
