Gerda Brand

Gerda is a tax director and leads the Tax Business Unit of Deloitte in Namibia. Gerda was appointed as Director in 2011 and has over two decades of Namibia tax experience. Gerda advised listed, corporate and medium-sized clients across sectors that include mining, oil & gas, financial services, retail and manufacturing on the full range of taxes: corporate tax, VAT, employees’ and expat taxes, withholding taxes and transfer pricing. Gerda holds a law degree together with postgraduate qualifications in tax and VAT. Gerda is a member of the Law Society of Namibia and the Legislative subcommittee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAN) Tax Committee. She is the editor of Deloitte Tax Newsletters and Quick Tax Guide.
